I found your website earlier today by chance when searching for artworks by Heike Ruschmeyer and for the past few hours I have been obsessively exploring the archives you have made all the way from the website’s beginning to the present… needless to say I am totally blown away and impressed by the sheer amount of highly appealing art/photography you have researched, curated and shared here over the past 14 years. I must admit that about 98% of the names of artists, photographers and various sources you have posted so far were previously unfamiliar to me until today too – hence why it took me so long to discover your site I guess!
Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for your efforts in maintaining this incredible resource – needless to say I have bookmarked your website and will be returning here again and again many times in the future.
Thank you John!
It’s encouraging to hear that the blog is of interest to some…. As you might imagine dealing in obscurity doesn’t get you much feedback, but I’ve tried to follow these interests blindly so I very much appreciate your message.
I have been visiting your site for the past 9 years and for a brief period, you stopped posting and I thought it was dormant/dead. Today, an image I saw a long time ago crossed my mind and I decided to come back and check – was surprised to see that there was a new post (this post). Scrolled every image, as I have always done for every post here, and read the comments. I just think it’s super coincidental that I’m writing this, and you wrote today as well. I hope you see this – I want to thank you as well.
I have also recently discovered your site and it is an absolute treasure trove of amazing artworks. I will now spend the next months months, or even years. Going back through the archives. What a gem this site is. I am an archivist so I want to thank you for an incredible piece of work.
